Pierluigi Stefanini is the President of the Unipolis Foundation. He has held positions in the banking and insurance sectors, as well as in the cooperative movement.
From 1990 to 1998, he served as the President of Legacoop Bologna, and from 1998 to 2006, he was the President of Coop Adriatica cooperative society. In 2006, he was appointed President of Unipol Assicurazioni, which, in 2007, adopted the name Unipol Gruppo Finanziario S.p.A. (now Unipol Gruppo S.p.A.), a position he held until 2022.
Currently, Stefanini serves as the President of ASviS (Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development), an association comprised of non-profit organizations supporting the development of the Italian Agenda to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
